New Museum for the Bowery

New Museum of Contemporary Art is going to build in the Bowery. By choosing a young, up and coming architect we should expect something exciting.

What a great location for this museum! This is where the fringe festival is held every year and it's still got that really rough edge of what SOHO must have been like pre-gentrification. (I was on my way to a play one afternoon when I saw a group of young men with baseball bats and I thought, "Oh how nice, they're going to the park to play softball! Then I saw the cops. I had just walked into the middle of a gang fight.)
