The design of the mascots for the 2008 Beijing Olympics have just been announced. They look to be an amalgam of a panda, a fire-spewing dragon, and those overly-made up little girls they drag out on Chinese variety shows. And what is the concept behind the trunks of their bodies: fortune cookies?

That's Hong Kong superstar Jackie Chan in the middle of the cuteness mosh pit.
