Information Behavior Survey

Hi everybody, it's Eve Luppert. Do me a big favor, won't you, and help my lovely neice, Aileen, with a research project?

Dear Friends and Family,

Call it a blatant effort to take advantage of your love for me, but I’m asking for a favor. Most of you know I’m back in school to study library and information science. My first class includes the study of “information behavior” which asks questions about how we decide we need information, how we get it, how we give it, and when do we avoid it.

For this class, I am in a group assigned the task of studying the information behavior of musicians. As part of our field work, we have created a survey and I’m looking for participants. You would be doing me a tremendous favor if you would pass along this link to any musicians you know, and ask them to fill it out. Of course, for those of you who are musicians, please fill out it out too.

We are looking for both professional and non-professional musicians. There are only 11 questions and it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. I assure anyone who takes the survey that we are not asking for any personal or identifying information. Your answers will be used for our educational purposes only. I’m happy to answer any additional questions at either this email address or my school one (aluppert@u.washington.edu).

Thank you very much! I hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Love,

Aileen
