Scenes from the Biltmore

Robert Chandler has always been a wonderful magpie for this site. He discovered a small trove of photos taken at the Biltmore.

He is able to identify some of the participants (in no particular order) as ...

Lee, Hy, Brent Thomas, David Butler, Phil Lanier, Hank Hinton, Jay's exec sec, an unknown to me lady with Steve Hollingsworth in the b.g.. And Mark Doyle with some former clients.

OMG! it's all of us (at least most of us). Although I should, I can't remember the first two. Followed by Mark Doyle (in front of Eisenstadt's photo of Hitler and Mussolini for a Fotoma spot. Gary Johns and Jeff Gorman pleaded with Lee to give them the blow up because these were Joe Sedelmaier's heroes and they thought it would look appropriate in his office. He did.) Clow in full bliss mode. Regina in perpetual control. And then two views of the soul of C/D creative: Hy Yablonka. My favorite aspect of his office was the back of this door--500-ish award certificates of merit/honor/congratualtions from every ad contest on the planet--pinned to the door with a construction nail. No fancy frames for him!). Hank Hinton, the human storyboard machine. He could have easily drawn $100 bills and made half the money he makes from C/D. the final shot captures Dave Butler, Phil Lanier, and me in the midst of hunting for something other than an award. thanks for the memories. Brent
